My coaching philosophy is based on the belief that every individual has the power to achieve their goals and create the life they desire in a healthy body. I work with clients to identify their strengths and values, and help them create a plan of action to achieve their desired outcomes.
I work with clients from all walks of life who are committed to personal growth and achieving their goals. Some of my clients are seeking career advancement, while others are looking to improve their relationships, health, deepen their faith and/or find greater fulfillment in life.
I have 25 years of experience in the criminal justice field, specifically working with the federal and state criminal courts, and specializing in substance abuse and mental health. I have owned my coaching and wellness practice for the past 13 years, and have 8 years experience in the alternative medicine field. I am also a licensed massage therapist, certified in trauma-informed bodywork. I have a deep understanding of psychology, anatomy, and physiology, and working with the mind-body connection. I believe that true change and healing the body comes not just from setting goals, but from understanding the underlying beliefs and patterns that may be holding us back from living a life of peace and freedom. I also bring a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to every coaching and integrative bodywork session.
Somatic Body Therapy is a holistic approach focusing on the mind-body connection to improve emotional, mental, and physical health. It involves various techniques and practices aimed at releasing tension and stress held in the body, which can result from past experiences, traumas, or emotional blockages.
Through body-centered methods such as body awareness, movement, breathwork, and touch, somatic body therapy empowers individuals to become more attuned to their body sensations, emotions, and patterns of tension. By actively tuning into and releasing these tensions, individuals can cultivate a greater sense of relaxation, self-awareness, and emotional balance.
Included in your bodywork session, we offer abdominal massage therapy, a gentle, non-invasive treatment, supporting digestive and reproductive health. Our emotions, such as stress, anger, resentment, fear, etc., are often times stored in the physical body, causing dis-ease and illness. Known as our second brain, the "gut" is responsible for 95% of the production of serotonin, a neurotransmitter (chemical)l that carries messages between nerve cells in the brain and throughout the body. It plays an important role in various brain and body functions, including healthy digestion, sexual function, bone health, cognition, mood stabilization, memory, learning, and sleep.
